Elysian Belly Dance is delighted to welcome Janai

‘Be Dynamic and Expressive with the Veil’

Sunday 12th June 2016, 12.00 – 2.00pm

CD2011-25

Janai has been Egyptian Dancing for approximately nineteen years in East Anglia and teaching for nearly fifteen and during that time she has developed a passion for dancing with a veil. Adding a veil to the dance opens up a creative world of swishes and swirls that can be used in so many ways to add drama and sensuousness to the dance.

This veil workshop will centre on learning to:
– Keep posture strong whilst dancing with the veil;
– Keep the veil buoyant whilst dancing;
– Make gentle and strong veil movements sensuous and dramatic;
– Get the veil to dance to the length of the music notation;
– Make an entrance with a veil.
There will also be a short choreography.

Tickets £20.00. Places must be booked in advance. Contact elizabethbellydancer@gmail.com
